Thanks Gord of Niagara-on-the-Lake Ontario for your email question of: "How does a golfer, maintain firm wrists, to avoid jabbing putts?"
To establish firm wrists Gord--which is critical to consistent putting--focus on preserving the angle of the right wrist from the set-up through the finish.
At address, push your right hand toward the target, presetting the angle of the wrist so it's slightly kinked.
As soon as you complete this forward press, start the putter away from the ball.
Keeping this right-wrist angle consistent throughout the stroke will keep the putterface square to your intended line.
It all starts with this first move.
Good Luck and continued success, and when in doubt, see your CPGA Professional or Golf Instructor for the proper procedure.
